How can we help?

Why do my prints look darker or lighter than what I see on my screen?

If your prints look noticeably darker or lighter than what you see on your screen, it usually comes down to screen calibration and how screens emit light vs. how paper reflects it.

Screens are backlit, making images appear brighter and more vibrant. Paper, on the other hand, reflects light, so prints naturally look softer and slightly darker — especially on matte or fine art papers.

To avoid surprises:
Calibrate your monitor using a hardware calibration tool
– Set your screen brightness to a realistic level (not maxed out)
– Work in a neutral, daylight-lit environment
– Export your files in sRGB colour space for consistency

We don’t adjust your files unless there’s a clear technical issue, so accurate screen setup is the best way to ensure what you see is what you get in print.
